Mental Health Awareness Week- Let’s Talk Wellbeing
“At Chocolate PR we’re HUGE advocates of sharing is caring. We help our clients speak out on a daily basis about their struggles and challenges so that they can inspire and motivate others who may still be stuck in darker times. Mental Health HAS become more spoken about, and more represented in the media – but we’ve still got to keep opening the conversations, as there is definitely more work to do.”
Coronavirus and associated lockdowns have had a negative impact on the mental health of many of us. Mental health UK reported significant increases in anxiety, stress, fear, loneliness and feelings of hopelessness within the UK population throughout the pandemic.
The theme for this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week is Nature and the power of it and we’ve come together with 5 of our fabulous clients to look at this from a different perspective.
Here, our Mastermind clients, have collaborated to bring you some FABULOUS FREE resources all around how being in control of your environment can aid your mental health – be it managing your mindset, to creating a serene home.
Have a delve into the hugely valuable resources they have pulled together for you – and if you like them, all we ask is you consider making a donation to the incredible Fly Anyway Foundation, run by the equally amazing Dani Wallace. This foundation, of which we are an Ambassador supports those who’ve overcome domestic violence and mental health challenges as a result and are now striving to move forward with confidence to become thriving business owners.

Mess stress prevents us from relaxing and truly unwinding and this is more important than ever now we are in our homes more than ever with hybrid working set to continue for the long term.”

Clair McKenzie, Weight Loss Mindset & Life Coach, aka ‘The Weight loss Whisperer’ (https://www.thebestyou.coach/)
Clair helps female professionals and entrepreneurs to create a relationship with food, themselves, and their lives that they love, having battled her own journey for years, struggling time and time again to lose weight, until finally, she realised she had to tap into her mindset, habits and beliefs to enable change.
Clair said:
“When I turned 40 I was fat, frustrated and morbidly obese. And then after 3 decades of struggling with my own weight, emotional eating, diet deprivation and self-sabotage, I realised that the answer to happiness with weight and health did not lie with the next fad diet but instead with learning how to change my mindset and nurture my emotions. Through this realisation I lost six stone for the last time”
She is on a mission to significantly improve the physical and mental health of successful career and businesswomen who state they are unhappy with their weight, empowering them to create a positive relationship with food and themselves so they can ditch yo-yo dieting and self-sabotaging beliefs that hold them back and move forward with stronger self-worth
Clair shares her super-powerful Love Yourself First workbook (click button below), which helps you ask yourself some key questions about what might be leaving you stuck. ‘Loving yourself first concepts’ are valid in helping all women improve their mental health and are an important part of proactive emotional well being.
