WATERHOUSE HELPS PACE GET FIT FOR BUSINESS
Leeds based building refurbishment and office interiors company, Waterhouse is celebrating the completion of an ambitious new facility for staff at booming Yorkshire business, Pace plc, this month.
A leading technology developer for the global payTV industry, working across satellite, cable, IPTV and terrestrial platforms, Pace commissioned award-winning Waterhouse to redevelop an unused area within their office space at Salts Mill, in a bid to provide employees with a state of the art gym, utilising the latest technology and fitness equipment to help make the team fit for business.
Having consulted with Pace's management team, and taken on board input from their in-house nutritionists, fitness instructors and ergonomists, Waterhouse worked with their client to provide the best possible facilities for their staff to develop in, as part of ongoing work to generate a world class working environment.
Capitalising on Waterhouse's in-house design team the gym makes use of every inch of space available and also incorporates world-leading energy saving functionality in line with Pace's commitment to CSR.
Leon Wdowczyk, Project Designer at Waterhouse said: "We are very excited to see the team at Pace making great use of this facility. To us this really illustrates what can be done when office refurbishment is treated with a little imagination. More and more companies are looking to find new ways to engage with, and reward their teams, as part of staff retention, and this project is a great example of a business which is 100% focused on creating a positive, enjoyable and productive working environment."
Pace employs over 1200 people, in locations that include the UK, the USA, France, India and China and their international headquarters are their offices in Saltaire.
