A search is launched for student voices of the city

Just as celebrities are often connected to brands, and adorned with lovely free gifts, a national website launching in Leeds is on a regional hunt for students of the city to adorn with similar privileges. www.studentnoticeboard.com is recruiting student ambassadors to help spread the word of what Leeds has to offer.

The team of three students chosen will host monthly blogs describing their antics in the city to help others see what activities, offers, and entertainment is out there. They will also undertake monthly challenges and record these – with topics such as ‘how to go on a date for £20’, ‘where to get the best hangover food from’, ‘where to buy an outfit to impress…’ and ‘best bits of Leeds in jan’.

They will have input into the design process of the site throughout 2010 and will be involved in events to promote the website – great experience for any budding marketeers/promoters out there.

In return the online gurus will receive VIP treatment throughout the year including a VooDoo Events VIP Membership card for 2010 entitling the holder to free entry, VIP bar access and Q-Jump at all VooDoo Events Nights, Guest List entrance to Back2Basics for 2010, a free 30 minute private consultation with ex Mr Universe Colin Wright of Ultimate Fitness 4 U , 1 free pizza per month each from Box Pizza of Burley Road and a free tour for each ambassador plus guest of the micro brewery of The Fox and Newt brew pub on Burley Road, as well as many more perks from partners of the site.

www.studentnoticeboard.com is the brainchild of designer Martin Ramsden, an ex-student who designed the website after creating a survey to find out what students really want to know and do. Games, fashion, music, sport and social networking are just some of the things that can be found on the website.

Martin Ramsden, website creator explained: “We pride ourselves on innovation, using technology to help students go about studying and enjoying themselves. We've tried to cover every aspect of student life, making it as cheap and easy as possible. We hope to find ambassadors who are passionate about getting the most out of the city to support us in the creation of the greatest student website ever known.”
