Online shopping craze marks the integration of new and old media

Whats it all about? 

Research by Experion has revealed a new shopping trend, whereby consumers use offline catalogues to search for products before logging on to purchase them on-line. 

On-line shopping has grown massively in the UK over recent years, with 70% of consumers shopping at home last year and 80% of these purchasing products on-line that they had previously seen elsewhere. Why do we favour on-line shopping? Experion puts this down to convenience and the quality of goods.

The 'flick to click' craze is great news for businesses already integrating their on-line and offline marketing efforts, maximising their sales capabilities.

It looks critical that other business follow suit, combining new and old media is clearly working and should be a natural reaction to this change in consumer behaviour
