PR: Not just for the big boys...

In a bid to help Leeds businesswomen harness the power of PR, on the 7th October we held our interactive workshop with Forward Ladies and what an event it was!

In a bid to help Leeds businesswomen harness the power of PR, on the 7th October we held our interactive workshop with Forward Ladies and what an event it was!

Held at Tiger Tiger in Leeds, we gave the guests an insight into PR, leaving them with creative PR ideas to use in their own business; including an introduction into PR, a taster on writing press releases, and an insight into media, objectives and campaign planning.

Guiding the way whilst they took their first step into public relations, we gave the ladies a hands on look at how to use PR in their business and get people talking about their brand.

Showing that PR can be used in any business with a bit of creative thought, guests included representatives from Lineham Farm Children's Centre, Brug Consultancy, Uno International Recruitment, and Sheila Rose Accessories.

The event was a great success and we have built some great relationships along the way. Discovering that PR isn't just for the big boys, the guests went away with all the information they would need to set up their own campaign and we had some great feedback:

It was a real pleasure to meet you yesterday the whole presentation was just fantastic, my head was spinning by the time I'd left.  

It was a fantastic day I think we all learnt something that we will be able to implement in our own businesses.

It is so hard when you are starting from scratch as there are so many things you need to do and it’s being able to recognise what needs to be done first which following Chocolate PR's presentation yesterday you firmly planted the seeds.

I will definitely be getting my LinkedIn profile up to date and looking to get on board with Twitter.
