Proud to be Yorkshire

As a PR agency in Yorkshire we are committed to our roots and have built strong relationships with the Yorkshire press over the years.

Some of our favourite contacts are the Yorkshire Post, Yorkshire Evening Post, Yorkshire Business Insider, www.businessdesk.co.uk, Beyond Leeds, On:Lifestyle and Pukka...there's too many to list! With our head office based in Leeds, we are proud to have worked with other companies in the region who have turned to us for Yorkshire PR consultancy. Here is an overview of our regional clients and the work we have done:

Care in the Community

Offering Yorkshire PR support to Wakefield Council on a campaign aiming to increase the number of foster carers in the district led to regional PR coverage in the Yorkshire Post, Yorkshire Evening Post, and the Wakefield Guardian to name just a few. This public sector campaign received huge interest throughout Yorkshire and was a great opportunity to work alongside another talented creative agency, Raw Design, in Manchester raising awareness around such an important subject.

Seeing a return of 6 times the pr spend, we got in front of almost half a million people in the region with the successful Yorkshire pr and advertising campaign. A 400% increase in enquiries was generated, with a minimum of 42 new foster carers to be approved by the end of the year, a staggering 1000% increase on 2008's figures.

Styling the Nation

Working with our creative designer Ben Huckerby, who is based at the stunning Pure Design in Leeds, has seen us achieve great success in raising his profile as a top interior designer and promoting him as an industry expert. This has seen us working with various Yorkshire media such as Leeds Guide; securing Ben as the interior agony aunt with his own column, and endless other interior magazines, newspapers and radio appearances. He has also appeared on the Channel 4 hit show 'Come Dine With Me' and was the interior designer behind Channel 5's Britain's Best Home. What started out as a Yorkshire PR campaign, has now become nationwide... as you can see, we are Ben's biggest fans!

Another client with a similar success story is Finite Solutions, Yorkshire's largest home entertainment company, who are market leaders in the design and installation of luxury bespoke home entertainment systems. We have a long standing working relationship with the team which sees us providing PR consultancy in Yorkshire and beyond, promoting launch events and raising their profile using various methods. Writing and distributing press releases, writing feature articles, placing competitions, product placement, organising interviews... check them out on Look North showing us round the UK's first million pound home right here in Yorkshire... all just a usual day in the life of Chocolate PR!

Business as Usual

The Engine Room is a Yorkshire based design and brand agency who work mainly with B2B clients so needed Yorkshire PR support from us to increase their regional profile within the business sector. This involves us securing coverage in various regional and trade publications on a monthly basis, one being the Yorkshire Post business section's 'Top 10 Tips' on the importance of design for SME's, which was greatly received.

We have also worked with BNI on a PR campaign to raise the profile of their annual event in Yorkshire which enabled us to use our contacts within the business sector to secure coverage on Real Radio, the business desk, the Yorkshire Evening Post and Yorkshire Post.

Coolpink, the award winning full service digital agency based right here in Leeds, are the latest to rely on us to offer Yorkshire PR consultancy with raising their profile and maximising media exposure to secure them as the Digital Agency of the North.

Food for Thought

As the food lovers that we are, our clientèle includes various restaurants across Yorkshire. Cafe Guru, in Leeds, asked for our Yorkshire PR expertise with the launch of their opening night, managing and promoting the event - right up our street and the feedback we received was extremely positive.

Another restaurant with a similar success story is The Black Horse Inn. Based in the heart of West Yorkshire and with a long-standing reputation for serving fine cuisine, they asked for our help promoting the arrival of a new chef and new menu, writing press releases and securing coverage in various Yorkshire magazines through Yorkshire media relations. We have also worked with Leeds based Siena on the launch of their opening night securing an array of coverage in Yorkshire publications and supporting them throughout the event.

Diamonds are Forever

Working with Children's clothing brand, Spotty Otter has included a Yorkshire brand launch which we planned, managed and promoted along with offering product give-aways and placing Christmas listings, and we have been by their side throughout, attending trade shows and securing Yorkshire PR coverage.

As one of our long-standing clients, Form Bespoke Jewellers, based in Leeds, has been a great client, and what girl doesn't enjoy working with diamonds? Work has included promoting all new products through regional and national placement, looking for feature opportunities such as 'top ten gifts', and competitions.

Bradford based Bombay Stores is another retail client that has relied on our Yorkshire PR consultancy to help promote the store in the community and generate Yorkshire press coverage - we created the first ever multi-cultural Christmas tree in the heart of Bradford as one of our PR activities and secured them TV coverage.

Last but not least, working with Leeds based, Daniel Footwear involved creating a national brand awareness campaign, and lead to us working with various celebrity agents to get their clients wearing the shoes and liaising with stylists to promote the shoes in photoshoots, the life of a PR professional!

Following this success we were approached by Yorkshire company, Business Wardrobe to  launch their website and raise the company profile. Designed to offer women all they need for business clot hing, we couldn't resist getting involved and have enjoyed a portfolio of Yorkshire PR coverage ever since.
