If you haven't already...

Jo is the Director at Chocolate PR and has been the face of the company since she established it, over 3 and a half years ago. A keen one for getting out there, if you haven't met her yet, we bet it won't be long until you do!

Uni Days

Always having been one to get bored easily, Uni in Sheffield led to a combined degree in English, Media and Psychology. In between studying and writing for the local papers and mags (mainly restaurant and gig reviews- those were the days!) Jo also spent many an afternoon battling it out on the rugby pitch...You heard it here first!

First Job

Apart from waitress and pizza seller, Jo's first 'proper job' was as a PR Executive for an entertainment pr agency, working on a project to launch a singer for a performance at the Philharmonic in Liverpool - never one to do things by halves..

Other Experiences out There..

Jo's experience has been gleaned from an amazing stint working for EMAP, in radio, at Hallam FM in Sheffield, and Key 103 in Manchester, when her day consisted of interviewing pop stars as well trying to make the DJs play ball for her promotions. Next came the crazy world of daily newspapers, working at The Yorkshire Post on both newspaper and online journalism. From here PR took over again, with Jo returning to work for a full service marketing agency, on clients such as Dunlopillo, National Holidays, Arriva Trains and Jump Estate Agents.

From here Jo went freelance, and then came a contract that provided a fantastic experience working with the NSPCC as Media Officer for the North, a role Jo truly loved, which leads up to the establishment of Chocolate PR, where she has worked on accounts from Envy Clothing to Dale Carnegie Training, as well as spending a year as editor of a local lifestyle magazine.
