Meet Helen

The newest addition to the Chocolate PR team, Helen has experience dealing with all arms of the press from writing for a wide range of weekly women's' magazines and national newspapers, to organising interviews on television and radio shows. Yorkshire born and bred, she's passionate about getting local and national clients as much coverage as possible.

Uni days

Having always dreamed of working in the media, Helen embarked on a Journalism course at Liverpool John Moors University where she juggled studying with designing and writing her own magazine, as well as serving celebrities at an exclusive bar.

First job

Helen began her career in the media working at Ross Parry Press Agency in Leeds as a feature writer and news reporter. She dealt with regional and national titles on a daily basis to secure press coverage and exclusive deals for clients.

Other experiences

After just one year as a trainee at Ross Parry, Helen's personable approach to attract new clients and ability to juggle magazine deals meant she was promoted to Features Editor. She also undertook placements at the Sun newspaper, radio stations and regional titles across Yorkshire giving her a great insight into how different media outlets work.
